At the root of all food allergies is a loss of immune tolerance to harmless proteins.

Discover your allergen sensitivities with the Allergy Profile BioMap.

Did you know: the common thread behind food allergies is barrier dysfunction (gut health) and immune overreaction.

BioMap included tests are listed below.

    • Reference range: 2—10 mcg/L

    • Test measures the concentration of ECP in the blood.

    • ECP is a powerful biomarker of allergic activity and tissue-level inflammation.

    • ECP is a toxic protein released by eosinophils, a type of white blood cell.

    • When eosinophils are activated—in response to allergens —they release ECP — which has tissue-damaging and immune-modulating properties.

    • Elevated levels of ECP reflects active allergic inflammation.

    • Test measures IgE antibodies in response to specific foods.

    • It’s designed to detect true, immune-mediated food allergies, where the body reacts abnormally to proteins in certain foods.

    • In a healthy system, the gut lining tightly controls what enters the bloodstream. In allergy-prone individuals, that barrier becomes “leaky” — allowing intact food proteins to enter the circulation before being fully digested.

    • The immune system wrongly identifies these proteins as pathogens, not nutrients.

    • IgE antibodies are produced, “tagging” those proteins as threats.
